First Day of School

Avery Reese began Pre-K this month at Little Rock Christian Academy. We are all so excited about this new adventure for her and our family. LRCA not only provides the education we want but also the Christ centered environment we desire for Avery Reese. In just a week's time, we are noticing the big differences between public school to a Bible centered private school. Avery Reese comes home singing  new songs about Jesus and talks about praying for others. We are so excited for what God has planned for us and our journey with LRCA.

 Hudson couldn't resist being photographed

Both kids were about done with photos at this point

She was so excited to see us in the pick-up line!!

Avery Reese was too shy to get a photo with her teacher,  Mrs. Williams on the first day.

Cancun, Baby!

Brad and I are so excited to have celebrated 10 years of married bliss this past May! Brad is an amazing husband and great father. We have definitely had our downs (careers, Hudson's illnesses, etc), but we have had many more ups. Marriage is no joke; its a full time job. But I wouldn't want to be in this business with any one other than Brad. God has been a pillar in our relationship and I give him full credit for our marriage.

Since the arrival of Avery Reese and Hudson, Brad and I have slacked on our promise to one another to have a vacation every year. Don't get me wrong, we have had some weekend getaways, but no real time away together. Well, with a HUGE thanks to our parents, we spent 6 days and 7 nights in Cancun (without children). Originally we wanted to go further away like Hawaii, but with two young children it just seemed like a better idea to stay closer to home. We had never been to Cancun together and it was spectacular! I don't remember the beaches being so pristine and white and the water being such a gorgeous turquoise color. It was so much fun to reconnect with one another, to sleep in, eat slowly and not be on anyone else's time schedule. We realized that not only did we still love each other, but that we still liked one another!
