A New Hobby

So lately I have had this motherly instinct to be 'crafty', but I don't have a crafty bone in my body so this poses quite a problem. For Christmas Brad and I purchased a fancy camera to help my photography skills and I love it using it! My photographs of Avery Reese are much improved, but it just wasn't enough for me (creatively speaking).

I have made some cute applique shirts for Avery Reese for her birthday then I branched out and made some shirts as baby shower gifts (which were a big hit). So I got this grand idea to take a sewing class. A co-worker and I signed up, bought a sewing machine and began sewing........

I really enjoyed my sewing class and learning something new again. The nerd in me loves to learn new things. So since my sewing class I have made a number of fun things from pajama pants, bibs, burp cloths, a pin cushion and ruffle pants for Avery Reese. Also my applique shirts have a professional look to them these days and take much less time.

I have plans to make Avery Reese some sweet dresses and with this new baby on the way.....who knows what I will make. My future is looking SEW bright!
